Saw this article [Stephanie Meyer's Breaking Dawn To Be Split Into Two Movies] on our Twitter feed this morning, and wanted to share with everyone. It’s crazy to think that she got turned down or heard no response from almost 15 publishers – it only takes one ‘yes!’ to change your life! From the article:
I have this from several sources, and it’s definitive. Filming on the back-to-back movies would begin in mid-October, and Summit Entertainment is looking at “high end” directors.
“High-end” directors?! She must be freaking out. No matter what you think of her or her work, the success she’s enjoyed is certainly inspirational. Hey, if she can do it, so can you! There’s no excuse – open that word processor or Moleskine notebook and get to work – we’ll keep Peter Jackson on hold for you!
PS – Speaking of Peter Jackson, from the article’s comments: Peter Jackson fit one of the most expansive and vast literature worlds, complete with myth, language, races, and history into 3 films. A very good point that made me LOL a little.
